2011 2012 Acura TL
MSRP
$28,980-33,480
General Motors' OnStar assistance service has been added to Honda's upscale bestseller, the 2011 2012 Acura TL. The 3.2 TL comes in base and
sporty Type-S models. Both have a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift gate, but the Type-S gets a horsepower boost from the
base TL's 225-hp V6 to 260-hp. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, traction control, and front side airbags are standard, along with in-dash CD
changer and xenon headlamps.
The Type-S adds an antiskid system, firmer suspension with 17-inch wheels, sport front seats, and metal-look gauges. A navigation system
with dashboard screen is the only option for either TL and now includes OnStar service, with in-car e-mail access an extra-cost component.
2011 2012 TL - For 2011 2012, all TL models equipped with the navigation system receive OnStar as standard equipment.
We favor this model very much for its innovative use of technology, ergonomic seating, and style. Extra credit goes to the OnStar system in
dash display. The power plant is more than adequate, even in the base models, and the fun to drive coefficient is off the graph paper.
